Vessel inspection onboard Island Constructor

Rig Partner has been involved by Norske Shell to conduct DROPS inspections and inspections of Cranes, Winches and Well Control Equipment onboard Island Constructor. These inspections are part of the Vessel intake activities for Island Constructor prior to the planned decom activities for Knarr and Gaupe.

SPS for COSLPioneer

Rig Partner was involved by COSL Drilling for both planning of the SPS for COSL Pioneer, and the SPS on CCB at Ågotnes. We also supported CCB with discipline resources for the SPS project.

SPS for Scarabeo 8

Rig Partner supported the SPS for Scarabeo 8 with project resources for position as Construction Manager and Discipline leads within technical, electro, marine, mechanical, structure, diving and multi. We had total of 13 persons involved during the 3 month project at CCB Ågotnes.

Rig inspections on Deepsea Bollsta and Deepsea Mira

Rig Partner was involved by Shell Houston to conduct rig inspections onboard Deepsea Bollsta and Deepsea Mira as part of the rig selection process for the Shell drilling campaign in Namibia. After Deepsea Bollsta was contracted, we participated in the rig acceptance test program prior to contract commencement and departure for Namibia.

Rig Partner was involved by Neptune Energy in 2022 for technical verifications, inspections and audits towards Deepsea Yantai and the activities have been continued for 2023.

Rig inspections on Ocean Endeavour

Shell UK

The intention for the rig inspection of Ocean Endeavor was to conduct an assessment of the organization and rig to identify potential areas of concerns where a shipyard repair is required. The inspection focused on review of maintenance management for Anchor Winches, Fairlead, Ballast Control system and Fire System. Further, assurance of Maintenance Management and review of Investigation Reports for previous incidents to verify effective closing and implementation of findings/recommendations.

Rig Partner was contracted by ConocoPhillips to manage, coordinate and follow-up the marine operations related to the Transocean Norge drilling campaign (Slagugle Appraisal, Peder, Bounty and Lamba). The activities covered everything from quality assurance of procedures to mobilization of anchor handling vessels and prelay/recovery of anchor spreads and rig move.

The rig intake was carried out in close co-operation with ConocoPhillips and conducted as verification meetings in the Transocean offices and inspections onboard Transocean Norge at key side at Westcon/Ølen. A successful acceptance test program was completed prior to contract commencement.

Rig Partner was involved by ConocoPhillips for the rig intake of Rowan Norway. The unit had been cold stacked for several years in UK prior to drilling of two wells at the Turkey shelf, therefore it was decided to conduct a full rig intake process. The rig intake was carried out in close co-operation with ConocoPhillips and conducted as verification meetings in the Rowan offices and inspections onboard Rowan Norway. A successful acceptance test program was completed prior to contract commencement.

The last voyage of COSL Rival

COSL

Rig Partner Decom has planned and executed the preparations for decommissioning of COSL Rival.

Rig Partner Decom acquired the accommodation rig COSL Rival from COSL Drilling for decommissioning. All preparatory activities were carried out at the quay in Kristiansand before the rig was towed to the decom yard in Turkey. The following companies were involved in the decom-project;  SR Group, Grieg Green, On & Offshore AS, Farsund Fortøyning Service, NorShip and Port of Kristiansand. The decommissioning project was executed in timely manner and without any incidents.

Management contract for Barge S600

The S600 is 183 m long and 47 m wide barge previously owned by Saipem. As manager for the barge Rig Partner Decom was responsible for relocating it to Egersund and prepare it for export to Turkey for recycling.

The S600 is a 183 m long and 47 m wide barge previously owned by Saipem. As manager for the barge Rig Partner Decom was responsible for relocating it to Egersund and prepare it for export to Turkey for recycling. The barge was relocated from Farsund to Egersund  in October 2021 and stayed in Egersund until departure in august 2022. Many thanks to Port of Egersund for their hospitality and service, FFS for their excellent tugs and Norship AS for assisting with export preparations.

Rig Partner was involved by Shell for the rig tender evaluations, and the following full rig intake of the contracted unit, Transocean Barents. The rig intake was carried out in close co-operation with Shell with verification meetings in the Transocean offices and inspections onboard Transocean Barents at key side at Westcon/Ølen. A successful acceptance test program was completed prior to contract commencement.
